Emily, the Takeout Queen

(This book is suitable for kids, Tweens and Teenagers)

An educative story that teaches children some easy food recipes and why it is good to learn how to cook

Eighteen year-old Emily had always prided herself on being a ‘takeout queen.’

Cooking was a frustrating and tiring concept to her— it seemed so complicated. Every time she tried to cook, something went terribly wrong. The food would turn out burnt, undercooked, or just plain disgusting.

However, after experiencing many disappointments, difficulties and heartaches on her cooking journey; finally, she was able to cook a delicious meal. In the end, she learnt that ‘good cooks are made not born’ and that ‘you can’t become a good cook overnight, what matters is that you keep practising and trying because mistakes are just a part of the journey.’
