(This book is suitable for kids aged 12 and under).
A story about determination and passion; the need to continue to dream, to hope and to believe against all odds. regardless of our family background.
Avah was the only daughter of a poor widow who lived in an old hut in a village. She was very beautiful and hardworking. She loved to sing and dance and would have loved to go to the village dance school to learn more, but her mother couldn’t afford the fees. Scorned by her peers and an intolerable village songstress; one windy night, the wrath of nature, in the form of a terrifying thunderstorm and a near-drowning incidence, pushed Avah and her mother unto the path to a new destiny. A wounded old woman, whom Avah and her mother were kind to, taught Avah how to sing and dance. At the end, with courage, dedication and continuous practice, Avah perfected her skill and eventually won the great prize, as the best dancer in the village music festival.
